Getting Back on Track!

I’m back from a long hiatus! I finished up Nanowrimo and sort of fell off the wagon. Now 2022 is upon us, I’m trying to get back to writing and art. Mostly, I’ve been focusing on my art because of some massive writer’s block. Until last week, all I did was write fanfiction, and I’d rather not have that associated with my professional work.

I did open up an Etsy store for my art! The link is now on my homepage. I’ll be adding new things like stickers, amigurumi, clothes, and jewelry, but for right now, it just has some paintings. I’m looking forward to growing my shop! Here’s a picture of some of my work:

Also, to help with my writing, I’ve started dabbling in poetry. It’s very different than what I’m used to because it requires such careful consideration. It forces me to slow down, and though I much prefer prose, I think it’s good for me to work outside of my element. For that, I’m going to try and post poetry every day during February! It’s the month of love, so the theme will be “Asexual Love Poetry”– IE, love from the ace perspective. After reading raunchy love poetry in class (for weeks on end), I got very frustrated because none of it made any sense to me. There needs to be more ace love poetry out there. I’m going to try my best to fill that void.

Granted, I suck at poetry, so this should be quite the adventure.
