Three Elves in a Trenchcoat

I’ve read the book and watched part of the first newer film. Currently on my way to watch the version from the 80s. So far, I’m largely unimpressed with the film adaptions’ ability to adhere to the story line. Still, I reread the book within the past month and I discovered the other day that it was written and published in the 60s! It’s super interesting to look back at this with knowledge of WWII, the Cold War, Woodstock, drug use in the 60s and 70s, and the fact that Jessica might’ve been a much cooler name 60 years ago than it is now.
